How to Book
We work Arcadia from our Burbank location, roughly 17 miles out, so when you call we'll ask what the door is doing - won't open, won't close, opener runs but the door doesn't move, cable off the drum - before a truck heads your way. That single detail changes which parts we load. We don't operate a branch in Arcadia and we're not going to pretend otherwise; every job here is a drive-out call, so give us the cross streets and a number where you can be reached when the truck is close.
If the door is stuck open with a car trapped inside, or a spring has snapped and the door is resting on broken cable, say so up front. That's a different job than an opener that clicks but doesn't lift, and it changes what we bring. For anything short of an actual lockout or safety issue, you can also start with our Arcadia garage door page to see the full range of what we handle before you call.
Parts We Carry
For a house built around 1965, the door is almost always steel or an early aluminum panel on a torsion spring system, sometimes with the older style extension springs if it's on the earlier end of that build range. We stock standard torsion springs sized for single and double doors, extension spring pairs, galvanized lift cables, and the rollers and hinges that wear out on a door that's original to the house.
What we don't carry on the truck is anything custom - a panel matched to a discontinued wood-grain steel design, or an opener model that stopped shipping parts a decade ago. If your door needs one of those, we'll tell you at the door instead of stringing along a repair that won't hold, and we'll talk through whether a new opener or a full replacement panel makes more sense than chasing a part.
What the Repair Takes
A straightforward torsion spring replacement on a single door is usually the fastest job on the list once we're on site - it's the diagnosis and the drive that take the time, not the swap itself. A double door with two springs, or a job where the cable and one roller went along with the spring, runs longer.
We won't quote a fixed time for how fast we can be at your door, because we're coming from Burbank and traffic on that stretch varies more than any of us would like. What we will do is tell you honestly, once we're looking at it, whether it's a repair or whether the door's old enough and worn enough that putting money into a new opener or a full door makes more sense than patching a 1960s panel that's already been rebuilt once. That's not an upsell - a repair on a door that's fighting you everywhere else just means a callback in six months.
